IT Architecture, Urban Planning, TM Forum Compliance, Catalog-Driven IT
Information System architecture and urban planning will guarantee its efficiency and its maintainability
An information system consists of a set of applications and systems, built with your new projects, offers, renovations, or mergers and acquisitions.
Well defined IS urbanization and architecture give clear responsibilities to each system, limit dependencies, and build a long-term roadmap of what the Target Information System will become.
Our way of analyzing your current IS and our knowledge of best practices in this area will help you obtain a precise vision of what your IS target should look like. Our vast experience of TM Forum standards, such as the Telecom Application Map, coupled with our field experience allows us to give you the means to split IS functions into systems, taking into account the needs of agility, the reduction of costs but also the differences in business needs from one business unit to another. Sometimes, pooling skills and technologies is the best approach, as the application pooling between business units can ultimately impact your agility and your ability to meet needs. Sometimes, it makes complete sense to merge two applications into one, in order to greatly reduce the costs of operations and construction.
Organizational impact is also an important aspect, among the major issues of transformation programs.
We can help you in your choices and bring you a clear roadmap. Our operational field experience will also enable you to roll out this roadmap smoothly, and to set up urban planning and architecture centers within your IS division to share this roadmap, define the standards and ensure their compliance. Implementation of micro-services, respect of application perimeters, limitation of dependencies between applications, use of a common business language through standardized APIs, identification of applications in which to invest and those to decommission: let us guide you to resume total control of your Information System

IoT: Strategy, Business Case, Assessment Of Technical Solutions
Vital issues for telecom and service providers
By 2020, the number of connected objects is predicted to reach twenty billion. Business sectors are in full transformation: health, retail, transport, manufacturing … The stakes for telecom and service providers are high. To meet this challenge, the development of new networks (5G, Lora, and Sigfox), connectivity services, and management platforms for these objects must be part of the strategy of any player in this new value chain. Valuation models must also be massively revised, with ARPU sharply down for an exponentially increasing volume of devices.
In the face of nascent companies specializing in IoT services, incumbent operators need to review their strategy not only to provide connectivity, but to offer a high added-value IoT management platform, closer to final customers. Many companies have launched projects or started thinking about which strategy to adopt to gain competitive advantages and increase their revenue.
There are multiple impacts, from network, IT, business and organizational points of view. Open Source communities and collaborative networks are also growing, bringing even more complexity to this new market.
Our dual technical expertise on BSS and OSS systems as well as on network knowledge will allow us to clarify the issues of IoT, and give you the support you need to build your strategy to be present in this booming market of the future. IoT is an additional technology available for companies’ digital transformation.
Whether you are a service provider or end-user service provider, you must think strategically about IoT.
The strategic approach remains the same:
– Identify Use Cases: which objects, which usages?
– Evaluate future revenues and costs
– Associate a valued customer experience
– Perform the technological implementation: Which platform, which network of collection, which security?
Whatever your field of activity is, in a few workshops, TnBS consultants will use their proven method to help you identify the Use Cases that are the most relevant to implement.
The scoring of use cases takes into account the organization, expectations of the various business lines, technical feasibility, expected customer experience, regulatory conditions, and impacts on the current processes.
Preceded by a Proof of Concept on a very limited number of Use cases, an 18-month roadmap will guarantee the success of your IoT strategy.
The Internet of Things is also a way to stimulate the development of a company by creating new offers and developing a better knowledge of customers. It is also a great generator of information to collect, analyze, store and return in multiple formats, and to aggregate or not, with the highest degree of confidentiality and security
The success of your projects will depend on your ability to transform your IT infrastructures and processes to integrate these new technologies.
Whether you decide to outsource, build your own IoT platform or use one of the many IoT XaaS platforms, you’ll need to identify the key players in the IoT value chain, and understand their positioning, benefits and disadvantages.
TnBS has developed its own analysis and selection tools and can help you in the complex process of choosing the tools best suited to your needs

Cybersecurity And GDPR
Digital technology plays a major role in companies’ lives. The explosive growth of data flows as well as the emergence of technologies such as the Internet of Things will only reinforce this trend
Digital technology plays a major role in companies’ lives. The explosive growth of data flows as well as the emergence of technologies such as the Internet of Things will only reinforce this trend.
It has become essential to protect all data circulating inside and outside companies. It is an increasingly important part of their legacy. Data protection is essential. Data protection means securing payments and exchanges, but also protecting personal information, contact information, medical records, etc.Cybersecurity has thus become a major issue for all organizations, companies or public institutions alike.
It is important that security is not only experienced as a defensive strategy against threats that can be internal as well as external. It must be understood as a strategy for the success of products or projects, and, in addition, a profitable strategy. But cybersecurity is not just about implementing technological solutions. The organization, the collaborators, the business environment are part of the dimensions to be addressed to define and implement a winning strategy.GDPR no longer needs any introduction. It should be seen as an opportunity to re-evaluate the risks incurred by the company and improve contractual relations with relevant suppliers.
TnBS consultants are at your disposal to assist you in defining your security strategy and its implementation. From the training of your employees through complex attack simulation tools, to the monitoring of the Internet and the Dark Web: our solutions will convince you to invest in this critical area in this digital era.

Adopting Network Functions Virtualization and Software Defined Networks
Revolutionize the network to reduce costs and speed up time to market
Telecom networks are made up of specialized, high-performance physical equipment operating in proprietary environments and at considerable costs. They are no longer suited to the flexibility operators need to provide new services in a very short time. Network architectures have evolved very little compared to the innovations in the world of IT, especially over the last dozen years with the emergence of virtualization technologies.
The introduction of concepts such as NFV and SDN opens new perspectives. They will disrupt network architectures, should facilitate the deployment of new services while providing flexibility and significantly reducing costs. The SDN makes it possible to deport and centralize the Control Plan. The network is programmable and accessible to business applications. NFV is the application of IT virtualization technologies to a number of network functions. These two concepts are independent but complementary.
Architectures evolve, IT and network come together. The economic ecosystem is changing and the positioning of the players must change as well. Traditional equipment manufacturers are integrating the IT component into their strategy to counter software companies that see these concepts as new opportunities.
However, this transformation can only be done gradually by making current and future technologies coexist in hybrid mode. Many questions arise, there is a very large number of suppliers and solutions and it is very difficult to make informed decisions.
However, many operators have launched proofs of concept, projects and programs. Although the B2B market is a prime target for real-world tests, others have opted for wider strategies for changing the core network.
All, however, have the same questions about the use and implementation of these concepts:
– Should they be introduced into a part of my network? Core, access, last mile?
– To provide which services, which segments of customers?
– Which suppliers to work with?
– Which business cases?
TnBS consultants regularly address such topics and are able to provide advice and support on your projects.
Assessing NFV/SDN impacts On Processes, Organization And Skills
For telecom and service providers, migrating to a virtualized network requires a deep transformation.
From designers and operators of telecom equipment and infrastructures, Telecom providers tend to become software companies. The professions are no longer the same and HR support project is huge and essential to the success of the Transformation. The Technical Department, which was responsible for designing, deploying the network and operating it, has almost the same functions as the Information Systems Department. The scope is different but the functions are the same and optimizations need to be achieved.
The upheavals brought about by the introduction of new NFV and SDN technologies also have an impact on the company’s processes. The network operating processes must be rethought and adapted to businesses close to IT operations. Involved for many years in the modeling and optimization of operational processes, the founders of TnBS have developed their own methodology based on representations of animated graphic scenarios.
TnBS consultants regularly address such topics and are able to provide advice and support on your projects. Do not hesitate to contact us.
NFV/SDN impacts your Customer Experience Management Strategy
The emergence of SDN / NFV concepts is a great accelerator of the digital transformation for telcos.
Some have well understood this, particularly in the B2B market where NaaS offers for “Network as a Service” are flourishing on the market.
However, we must be careful in the customer approach, especially in the modeling of the main customer journey, sales, assurance, MACD and underlying process (delivery order for example). It is not uncommon to hear customers complain about the availability of activities that, in the traditional approach, were the responsibility of the service provider. These customers consider that they have to take care of part of their supplier’s work (activation, modification, etc.). Not all customers are similarly interested in increased autonomy. Addressable customer segmentation and customized Customer Journey design is required, otherwise the project will be rejected.
The measurement and management of customer experience will have to take into account these new routes and this new architecture. The management of customer experience, when it could be implemented and tooled, is very often based on data collection from the network via probes (or call trace). This data is analyzed (causes of errors for example) and restored in graphical / cartographic forms and recorded as KPIs.
The introduction of NFV / SDN involves reviewing the entire analysis of the customer experience, the sourcing of data controllers and orchestrators to the calculations of new KPIs by passing new analysis / interpretation of events reported. New Use Cases are to be defined both on the virtualization of network functions and on the customers’ use of the services provided. This new data, whose volume is important, will be integrated into the BI / Big Data channels.
Involved for many years in Customer Experience Management and Big Data projects, TnBS consultants regularly address such areas and are able to provide advice and support on your projects.
Software Defined Networks and Information Systems: the convergence begins
For Telcos, whatever the chosen strategy is, network and IT integration will remain one of their main issues.
Product Catalog should describe and price self-care/self-configuration opportunities offered to customers. Sales systems, CPQ and management of the “installed customer base” must evolve simultaneously. The activation tools will have to exchange not only with the SDN platforms but also with the NFV orchestrators and the legacy network. The mediation is impacted and will continue to play its role with the traditional network elements while offering the collection of information from the “new world”.
New data streams will have to be taken into account for new CEM/Big data Use Cases relating to the network life or to customer experience measurement, as well as to many other elements…
The other aspect, which is very often underestimated in the projects, relates to the standardization of data between the different repositories, the verification of the completeness, accuracy and coherence of this data.
This issue is essential for the successful implementation of these new concepts and must be addressed very early in projects.
Finally, the security and privacy of data in a context as open as SDN / NFV is a key issue that must be anticipated. At TnBS, we have these IT, network and project skills. Do not hesitate to contact us.
